Residential pest control in Tanaina
Most of our Tanaina work is residential, and it looks different from job to job. The core neighborhood around Tanaina Elementary has older homes with unsealed rim joists and attached garages. Meadow Lakes and Cottonwood properties sit on larger, wooded lots where wildlife and mosquitoes are the bigger issue. Families here want materials that are safe around kids and dogs, and they want a real arrival window, not a four-hour block. We schedule around school pickup and work days, seal what we can, and set a preventive plan so you are not calling us again in six weeks.
- Rodent proofing and trapping — We inspect the rim joist, crawlspace, and garage, seal entry gaps with exclusion mesh and sealant, then set locked bait stations and snap traps. Tanaina homes with attached garages get extra attention at the garage-to-house door, which is the most common entry point we find.
- Wasp and bee removal — Tanaina wasp nests build under eaves, in soffits, and inside fence posts from June through September. We treat at dusk, remove the nest, and spray the surrounding surfaces with residual insecticide. If anyone in the house is allergic, we treat it as an emergency call.
- Ant and spider treatment — Spring ants and fall spiders are the two seasonal calls we get most in the 99654 area. We trace ants to the nest and use bait instead of surface spray, and we vacuum spider egg sacs before treating entry points. Sealing foundation cracks keeps both out.
- Flea, tick, and mosquito yard treatment — Cottonwood and Meadow Lakes properties near the creek need yard treatment for fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. We treat breeding sites, fog the perimeter, and set a monthly program through July. Pet bedding and interior cracks get treated at the same time to break the flea cycle.
